Lauren M. Burns, Esq.

Senior Attorney

Combine open-hearted compassion with the ability to expertly guide clients through difficult and personal matters, and it’s no surprise that Lauren M. Burns is a trusted advocate who builds life-long relationships with the clients she serves.

As Senior Attorney at SJF Law Group, Lauren uses her interpersonal and legal skills to assist clients in all aspects of estate planning, probate, and trust administration.

After obtaining a degree in psychology from Florida State University, Lauren earned her J.D. degree, graduating cum laude, from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law. Shortly into her practice, Lauren decided to enhance her skills to better assist her clients and went on to earn her L.L.M. degree in Estate Planning from the University of Miami.

Lauren is admitted to the Florida Bar and the U.S. Tax Court.

During law school, Lauren served as President of the Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law Society and worked as a law clerk handling real estate, estate planning and probate matters. She also volunteered as a Guardian Ad Litem for Broward County, where she acted as a court-appointed advocate for children in the foster care system.

Lauren loves spending time with her family and friends (especially her dog!) and yet still finds time to actively participate in a number of significant professional and civic associations, including the Florida Bar Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section, the Broward County Bar Association Wills, Trusts & Estates Section, the Broward County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section, and the Broward County Women Lawyers’ Association.
